Hand Harvested Coconut Oils

FROM OUR HANDS TO YOURS

Baraka’s coconut oils support small-holder farmers in Ghana’s Western Region. For most women and families this is the mainstay of their economy. Baraka and its local partners encourage and support multi-cropping, especially the growing of vegetables and food crops for household nutrition and sustenance.

ALL NATURAL

No chemicals, additives, animal testing, or harsh industrial processing. Just pure, natural, virgin coconut oil.

COMMUNITY IMPACT

Every time you purchase Baraka’s coconut oils you have a direct impact on the women, families, and communities in northern Ghana. Not only does your order provide the dignity of income to hardworking women but helps support educational and economic projects in the community.

BENEFITS

Our cold pressed coconut oil has lots of great benefits:

- Reduces dryness and seals moisture into the skin.

- High in lauric acid which adds a smooth texture to product formulations and also boosts collagen production to maintain the skin’s elasticity.

- Rich in antioxidants, like vitamin E, to protect the skin and reduce signs of ageing.

- Has anti-inflammatory properties to soothe irritated skin.

HOW TO USE

With lots of great benefits, coconut oil is a popular ingredient in product formulations. It is an excellent addition to body butters and lotions, thanks to its hydrating properties, but also works to cleanse and nourish the skin in soaps.

WHY CHOOSE BARAKA

Handcrafted by women in Ghana using age-old techniques passed down through generations. Centuries of practice has taught them how to extract every bit of goodness from the shea nut, and that quality is now passed on in every package of shea butter and all the products made from it.

COCONUT INTERCROPPING

Check out this interview with the founder of Baraka’s partner, Ava Virgin Coconut Oil, discussing intercropping and its contribution to sustainability and food security.
